The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham has recently shown an exhibition by Savile Row tailors, Henry Poole & Co. As I'm now doing tailoring at uni, I thought I would go and take a look.......

There was also an exhibition of some of the dresses made by Laura Ashley. (1960's-1970's). Floral dresses not really my thing, but good to get a chance to see!
There had also previously been a couple of students from my uni taking part in a costumier's project at the museum. Along with historical costumer Luca Costigliolo they recreated a dress worn by museum founder Josephine Bowes.
